GreenClaw — Bring the Ocean, Anywhere

Bring the Ocean, Anywhere

Climate-resilient aquaculture, redesigned for Southeast Asian farms.

GreenClaw Hub multi-module aquaculture system render1st Place, ClimateLaunchpad Philippines 2026

Thanks for going paperless with us.

Our Mission

Make fish and shrimp farming safe, simple, and profitable for Southeast Asian farmers.

GreenClaw builds modular, app-guided recirculating aquaculture systems that keep farms producing through typhoons, floods, and extreme heat.

Who we serve

Small and mid-scale operators, starting with farm businesses, cooperatives, and returning OFWs in Central Luzon.

What we build

Standardized land-based aquaculture modules, plus GreenclawHarvest, our app that guides daily farm work.

Why now

Aquaculture now supplies over half of the country's fish, in the world's most disaster-exposed nation.

Why us

An architect-systems designer and a procurement and food service co-founder. We built and ran our own pilot first, and won ClimateLaunchpad Philippines 2026.

The Problem

The country runs on farmed fish, and its farms are exposed

Isometric illustration of a typhoon breaching an open pond aquaculture farm
  • 55%of Philippine fish now comes from aquaculture (PSA, 2025)
  • -42,266 tdrop in aquaculture production in 2025 alone (PSA)
  • #1most disaster-exposed country in the world (WorldRiskIndex 2026)
Every collapsed harvest wastes feed, stocked juveniles, and labor, not just income. In June 2026, one fish kill at Magat Dam cost farmers P120 million.

Who Farms Next?

The people who feed us are getting older

Young Filipinos are not replacing the farmers and fisherfolk who grow our food.

Farm operators by age (PSA 2022)

  • 15-298.9%
  • 30-4941.9%
  • 50+49.3%
  • +75.3%more farm operators aged 65 and up than ten years ago (2012 to 2022), the fastest-growing age group
  • 1 in 3farmers lives below the poverty line (31.6%). For fisherfolk, it's about 1 in 4 (26.2%).
Farming today is a gamble: one storm can erase a year of income. Young people choose other careers.

Why It Hasn't Been Solved

RAS works, but it was built for rich countries

Recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS) grow fish and shrimp in tanks on land, cleaning and reusing the same water, protected from storms, floods, and heat.

It already works at scale: in China, Tongwei is investing about USD 164 million in a single RAS shrimp farm.

Conventional RAS needs

  • Large, industrial facilities
  • Big upfront budgets
  • Technicians on site

Our farms have

  • Small to mid-size farms
  • Thin margins
  • Few RAS specialists nearby

What farms here need instead

  • Affordable to start
  • Simple to run day to day
  • Protected from the weather

Our Answer

We redesigned RAS for Southeast Asian farms

Isometric illustration of a GreenClaw system running through a storm inside a protective enclosure
  1. 1

    Smaller and modular

Start with one module and grow as the farm grows.

  2. 2

    Standardized, not custom

Set up and maintained without an engineer on site.

  3. 3

    App-guided

GreenclawHarvest turns expert knowledge into daily guidance.

The expertise is built into the system, not hired on site.

What We're Building

One system family, from pilot to hatchery

GCNano module renderIn development

GCNano

Compact entry module for pilots and urban sites.

GreenClaw100 module renderIn development

GreenClaw100

Flagship 100 sqm module with a botanical crop.

GreenClaw Hub module renderIn development

GreenClaw Hub

Multi-module, year-round production.

GCHatch module renderIn development

GCHatch

Designed for

  • Saltwater:Vannamei, tiger prawns, pompano, grouper
  • Freshwater:Tilapia, freshwater prawns, milkfish, catfish
  • Secondary crops:Seaweeds, algae, lettuce, basil

What Farmers Told Us

We asked before we built

15

grow-out and hatchery operators in Central Luzon

3

coastal distributors and seed brokers

6

aquaculture professionals, including SEAFDEC and BFAR

What we learned

For 85%, flexible modular pricing mattered as much as biosecurity. Lower upfront cost makes farmers more willing to try something new.

What we changed

Our base offer is now a single module. The full hub and solar power became upgrades.

"RAS has been proven far and wide on wealthy farms. It's about time the technology reached small farmers too."

Where We Are

From home-built pilot to first prototype

  1. 2024

    Research and development begins.

  2. 2025

Home-built pilot validates the system, and GreenclawHarvest alpha development begins.

  3. 2026

    Now
    • 1st Place, ClimateLaunchpad Philippines 2026. Finalist, Agri-Tech Grand Prix and Tech Planter Philippines.
    • 1 invention and 4 utility model designs under DOST review for patent filing
    • GCNano freshwater prototype being built
    • GCNano saltwater design ready, with materials being procured
    • GreenclawHarvest alpha (manual input) ready for demo
    • GreenclawHarvest beta (automated input) in development
    • GreenClaw100, GreenClaw Hub, and GCHatch designs in further development

What's next

  1. 1

Build our demonstration hub to prove the design in real conditions.

  2. 2

Deploy single modules with our first partner farms.

  3. 3

Grow into multi-module hubs, saltwater systems, and solar power.

What makes us different

Others offer custom engineering or software alone. GreenClaw combines standardized hardware, a farm app, and protected designs in one system.
